Terry Mizée and Suzanne Petty are best
of friends as well as business partners,
who fulfilled a dream in opening La Tea
Da in the winter of 2001 by combining the
things they love with the things they are
good at. With some talent in the kitchen,
creative flair, and an eye for special
items to go in the La Tea Da Gift Shoppe,
they have created a unique place along
the Oregon Coast that collects visitors
from across the country and around the
world, as well many loyal and greatly
appreciated local customers. The ladies
directed and conducted the reconstruction
inside the building – a former
appliance store and laundromat –
with the help of their husbands, Bart and
Gary, who are both Tillamook dairy
farmers. As such, rest assured that La
Tea Da cooks with only fresh Tillamook
dairy products.
